The protagonist is therefore in constant search of the perfect female scent that would satisfy his lack of humanity. Once he experiences to smell the scent of the virgin, he is obsessed with desire to keep it. His gift empowers him with the ability to make marvelous perfume. The main character of the book, Jean Baptist Grenouille was abandoned at birth and blessed with the unique sense of smell. ![]()
